HEB 7950 - Comparative Semitic Linguistics A comparative study of the phonology, morphology and cognitive vocabulary of the Semitic language family, as well as a survey of the individual languages that provide the necessary data for the reconstruction of the Proto-Semitic language and culture. 3 semester hr(s). Prerequisite(s): HEB 6500 . An intermediate level knowledge of at least one semitic language is necessary to function in the class.
