DMN 8207 - Great Commission Discipleship among Students & Families This course offers an advanced study on disciple-making within the context of student ministry in the local church. Emphasis will be placed on establishing a vision for discipleship that is informed by aims and objectives of spiritual maturity identified in the New Testament. Leaders will consider how to develop responsible approaches to evangelizing students, as well as strategies to lead them into a deepening spiritual maturity in Christ. Special attention will be given to designing and organizing programs, events, and practices that flow out of a Great Commission-shaped philosophy, to equipping parents to faithfully embody their role as primary disciple-makers of their own children, and to creating pathways for the church and parents to pursue that philosophical vision together. 3 semester hr(s).
