APO 9510 - Cults and New Religions
An advanced seminar in contemporary cults and new religions from the standpoint of orthodox Christian faith, including Mormons, Jehovah’s Witnesses, and other American religious movements. Students will engage primary texts from these movements, conduct historical and sociological analysis of their origins and development, and formulate rigorous theological and apologetic responses grounded in Scripture and the Christian doctrinal tradition.
