The College at Southeastern offers the Master of Arts in Intercultural Studies (MAIS), a program designed to prepare students for effective service in a cross-cultural setting, especially designed for those with experience in cross-cultural settings. The 54-hour curriculum can be completed in two years of full-time study in any combination of distance (i.e., online or extension) and on campus (i.e., hybrid and traditional) courses.
Admissions Requirements
Students seeking the MAIS must hold a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited school and meet the general requirements for admission to graduate study in the College.
Degree Requirements
The Master of Arts in Intercultural Studies requires 54 semester hours. Students who have completed a Master of Divinity degree or another approved professional degree may apply up to 27 hours of comparable coursework toward the MAIS. A specially-modified version of the MAIS degree is available to students currently seeking a Master of Divinity with International Church Planting. More information on these requirements may be obtained from the Registrar’s Office.
The student must maintain a cumulative quality point average of 2.0 or better in order to graduate The College at Southeastern.
