Christian Education and Biblical Counseling, M.A.

The purpose of the Master of Arts in Christian Education and Biblical Counseling degree program is to equip students with the essential tools for service in the local church in both educational and biblical counseling ministries. The program is designed to be completed within two academic years, beginning in the Fall semester.

Candidates for this degree program should consult with a member of the Christian Education faculty and a member of the Biblical Counseling faculty to plan the most effective program of study to accomplish their ministry objectives.

Admissions Requirements

Admission to this program is limited to persons holding a Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent who also meet all other admission requirements for the Seminary.

Degree Requirements

Master of Arts in Christian Education and Biblical Counseling students must complete 37 hours of core studies, 15 hours of Christian Education courses, and 15 hours of Biblical Counseling courses, for a total of 67 semester hours of credit with an overall GPA of 2.0 or better.

Christian Education Selectives - 3 Hours


  • Choose any CED**** or PMN**** graduate level course (5000 level and above). 3 semester hr(s).

Biblical Counseling Core Requirements - 6 Hours


Biblical Counseling Selectives - 9 Hours


  • Choose any BCO**** graduate level courses (6000 level and above). 9 semester hr(s).

Total Hours - 67
