Biblical Studies

The Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Studies equips students to translate and exegete Hebrew and Greek biblical texts. The student will participate in the beginning level of Hebrew and Greek (two semesters each) as well as a third semester of each biblical language, which focuses on syntax and exegesis. Additional courses in Old and New Testament Theology and Book Studies in the Old and New Testaments, prepare students to understand the methodological bases and theological concepts of Scripture. The degree will launch students into graduate work in seminary.

In addition to the Core Curriculum and Christian Studies Minor , Biblical Studies majors must complete the following:

Biblical Studies - 30 hours

HEB 2610 - Biblical Hebrew for Ministry I 3 semester hr(s).
HEB 2620 - Biblical Hebrew for Ministry II 3 semester hr(s).
HEB 3500 - Biblical Hebrew for Ministry III 3 semester hr(s).
GRK 2610 - Biblical Greek for Ministry I 3 semester hr(s).
GRK 2620 - Biblical Greek for Ministry II 3 semester hr(s).
GRK 3500 - Biblical Greek for Ministry III 3 semester hr(s).
Six hours in Book studies
OTS 3800 - Old Testament Book Study 3 semester hr(s).
NTS 3800 - New Testament Book Study 3 semester hr(s).
Six hours in Biblical Theology
BTI 4600 - Old Testament Theology 3 semester hr(s).
BTI 4700 - New Testament Theology 3 semester hr(s).
