Pastoral Ministry

The Bachelor of Science in Pastoral Ministry introduces students to the knowledge and skills central to the work of pastors through classes in pastoral ministry, discipleship, counseling, and Bible exposition. The program is designed to begin the formation of the student’s life for pastoral ministry, and to relate this discipline to the core teachings and practices of Christianity.

In addition to the Core Curriculum with Vocational Electives or Business Minor , Pastoral Ministry majors must complete the following:

NTS 1100 - New Testament Survey 3 semester hr(s).
BTI 1100 - Hermeneutics 3 semester hr(s).
THE 3110 - Christian Theology I 3 semester hr(s).
THE 3120 - Christian Theology II 3 semester hr(s).
HIS 3100 - Church History Survey 3 semester hr(s).
EVA 1100 - Evangelism: Nature and Practice 3 semester hr(s).
OTS 3800 - OT Book Study OR NTS 3800 - NT Book Study 3 semester hr(s).
COM 3610 - Bible Exposition I 3 semester hr(s).
COM 3620 - Bible Exposition II 3 semester hr(s).
MIN 3610 - Pastoral Ministry and Leadership 3 semester hr(s).
MIN 3720 - Administration and Education in the Local Church 3 semester hr(s).
MIN 4620 - Biblical Counseling 3 semester hr(s).
MIN 4900 - Mentored Internship I 3 semester hr(s).
