DMin (Chaplaincy)

The chaplaincy specialization seeks to equip chaplaincy leaders to create, implement, lead, and evaluate a chaplaincy ministry philosophy shaped by theological reflection, informed by biblical missiology and ecclesiology, and grounded in professional chaplaincy practice. Students will develop a chaplaincy model that enables them to conduct effective gospel ministry in secular, pluralistic, multicultural, and multifaith environments. Courses will emphasize theological and practical foundations of chaplain ministry, ministry to families, and ministry in instances of trauma, grief, suicidal ideation, and emotional distress.
