Pastoral Ministry Track, M.Div.

The Pastoral Ministry track prepares students for pastoral ministry in the local church and supports both academic and practical ministry interests. Within three academic years of full-time attendance, the M.Div. program prepares Christian ministers by enabling them to gain a basic understanding of biblical studies and exposition, Christian history and theology, Christian life and leadership, and ministry skills within the Christian worldview.

Degree Requirements

In addition to the M.Div. Core , students specializing in Pastoral Ministry must complete the following courses:

Pastoral Ministry - 24 Hours

HEB 6500 - Biblical Hebrew Syntax and Exegesis 3 semester hr(s).
OR
GRK 6500 - Greek Syntax and Exegesis 3 semester hr(s).
ETH 6550 - Moral Foundations of Marriage and Family 3 semester hr(s).
PRS 6500 - Sermon Delivery 3 semester hr(s).
BCO 5500 - Biblical Counseling 3 semester hr(s).
PMN 6500 - Pastoral Ministry 3 semester hr(s).
PMN 6720 - Administration and Education in the Local Church 3 semester hr(s).
PMN 6540 - The Ministry of Worship 3 semester hr(s).
PMN 6590 - Supervised Field Ministry 3 semester hr(s).
