Application and Logistics
Applications are available through the Women’s Life Office (Ledford Center) or online at www.sebts.edu. There are no academic prerequisites to the program. The cost is $25 per course. In addition to course fees, some courses require a book(s). Childcare is available to students whose husbands are in class or working during class time. Child care is available for Thursday evenings classes only. Reservation forms for child care are made through the Women’s Life Office or on the website: www.sebts.edu/academics/bwi/default.aspx. Childcare will not be offered for some classes as indicated on registration forms.
Class schedules are available on the Women’s Life website at www.sebts.edu/academics/bwi/default.aspx. Classes are offered Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 7-9pm. Weekend Intensives are offered over two weekends, where the class will meet Saturday 8am to 5pm. Certificate Requirements
To qualify for the Certificate in Women’s Studies with International Missions, students must complete eight BWI classes. This program is designed specifically for women whose husbands are enrolled in the M.Div. with International Church Planting and can be completed in two years on campus and two years on the field. For those seeking to fulfill certain International Mission Board educational requirements, this is an IMB approved course of study.
Each course is one unit and the total requirement for the Certificate in Women’s Studies with International Missions is eight (8) units. Information on the prescribed sequence of courses is available from the Women’s Life office.
