Theology

The major in theology introduces students to the discipline of theology and selected Christian doctrines. Students will study biblical theology, theological methods and systems, great works in the history of theology, and the role of contextualization in Christian theology. Theological selectives allow students to study specific Christian doctrines.

In addition to the Core Curriculum and Christian Studies Minor , Theology majors must complete the following:

Theology - 30 Hours

HOI 3510 - Seminar in Theology & Culture 3 semester hr(s).
BTI 4600 - Old Testament Theology 3 semester hr(s).
BTI 4700 - New Testament Theology 3 semester hr(s).
THE 3700 - Theology in Global Contexts 3 semester hr(s).
THE 3650 - Foundations in Theological Method 3 semester hr(s).
THE 3680 - Readings in Christian Theology 3 semester hr(s).
THE 4500 - Advanced Theological Systems 3 semester hr(s).
9 hrs must be selected from additional THE courses in the 3000 and 4000 levels.
