Advanced Certificate in Teaching English as a Second Language (TESL)

Southeastern’s Advanced Certificate in Teaching English as a Second Language (TESL) is a 7 course program of study designed to train students to effectively teach English as a Second Language. These courses will be offered in specific sections of online classes. The program is designed to be flexible enough to accommodate the schedule of working students, as well as those with family responsibilities.

TESL Requirements

CERT 1110 - Cross-Cultural Communication 1 semester hr(s).
CERT 1111 - English Grammar 1 semester hr(s).
CERT 1112 - TESL Teaching Methods I 1 semester hr(s).
CERT 1113 - TESL Teaching Methods II 1 semester hr(s).
CERT 1114 - Introduction to Linguistics 1 semester hr(s).
CERT 1115 - Second Language Acquisition 1 semester hr(s).
CERT 1116 - Teaching ESL in a Global Context 1 semester hr(s).
