Master of Arts in Student Ministry

The purpose of the Master of Arts in Students Ministry is to prepare students for effective leadership through courses that focus on leadership development, discipleship, Bible exposition for students, and pastoral wisdom and care for middle school and high school students.

Admissions Requirements

Admission to this program is limited to persons holding a Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent who also meet all other admission requirements for the Seminary.

Degree Requirements

Master of Arts in Student Ministry students must complete 37 semester hours of core studies and 12 semester hours of prescribed Student Ministry courses for a total of 49 semester hours of credit with an overall GPA of 2.0 or better. Not more than 10 additional semester hours may be taken to make up a deficiency in quality points that are required for the MA in Student Ministry degree.

Bible Exposition (3)

Choose one of the following courses:

PRS 6100 - Bible Exposition I: Hermeneutics and Preparation 3 semester hr(s).
CED 6300 - Bible Exposition for Ministry to Women I 3 semester hr(s).

Ministry Studies (6)

EVA 6610 - Personal Discipleship & Disciple-making 3 semester hr(s).
MIS 5000 - Introduction to Great Commission Studies 3 semester hr(s).
