The Worship specialization aims to equip students with advanced training for worship ministry in the local church today. Students in this specialization will study the theory and practice of worship ministry from biblical, historical, and theological perspectives. Attention will be given to spiritual formation, personal spiritual disciplines, ministry contextualization, and the skills necessary for effective spiritual leadership. Skills will be developed to analyze viable strategies for worship ministry, to navigate critical ministry issues with biblical wisdom, and to create biblically-faithful, historically-informed, and contextually-appropriate worship designs.
