Biblical Studies

The Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Studies equips students to translate and exegete Hebrew and Greek biblical texts. The student will participate in the beginning level of Hebrew and Greek (two semesters each) as well as a third semester of each biblical language, which focuses on syntax and exegesis. Additional courses in Old and New Testament Theology and Book Studies in the Old and New Testaments, prepare students to understand the methodological bases and theological concepts of Scripture. The degree will launch students into graduate work in seminary.

Christian Studies Minor - 24 Hours
Biblical Studies Major - 30 Hours
Biblical Theology - 6 Hours
Biblical Languages - 24 Hours
BA General Electives - 18 Hours
In addition to a selected major and a Christian Studies minor, all baccalaureate students must complete at least 18 hours in additional courses, which may be applied toward a second major or a second minor. In order to graduate, baccalaureate students must complete at least 127 credit hours. Any hours remaining after the student’s major and the Christian Studies minor may be used as free electives.
